Hello All!

This year I was taking a look at what I wanted to do with escapingretail.com. I was tempted to kibosh the whole enterprise just for simplicity’s sake and perhaps list the book on amazon.com. Then I got to thinking about what I really wanted to get accomplished with the escaping retail website. I think there are a couple roadblocks that prevented me from squeezing the value I would have liked out of the website that I paid such good money for.

The biggest roadblock I think was the artificial limit that I placed upon the content and prime objective of the website. I think that going forward I want Escapingretail.com to serve as a repository for not just thoughts on career but also to document my journey toward financial freedom and making sure that I’m moving towards greater purpose in my life.

One of my most consistent journeys has been the journey not just away from a particular branch of pharmacy (this was just a particular leg of my journey) to creating more financial freedom so that I have the ability to make sure that I am always moving towards greater purpose and intrinsic satisfaction with my work and waking hours.

That means for Escaping Retail I’ll be expanding the topics that I cover to a much broader range and context. In fact this range may turn out to be too broad. However, I’ll be throwing a lot of paint on the wall and hoping that some of sticks in an effort to create a website that better serves my interests and hopefully provides a body of work that helps me to think critically about the different challenges that face me as I move toward achieving my goals.

Hope you enjoy the journey!
